I just published my latest design inspired to Frida Kahlo!
Frida is one of my favourite artists: despite adversity and the dark atmosphere that she portrayed, her works were full of colour and strength.
I wanted to make her a little tribute... I hope you enjoy!
Frida is a seamless, sleeveless top mostly worked in the round, from the top down.
The pattern starts by working the shoulders to the underarms, then the front and back are joined together and the body worked in one piece.
The top features a basic, relaxing stockinette stitch pattern with interesting small details, i-cord edging and a basic lace pattern for the lower body.
Knit it in a light cotton yarn and get quickly a fashion new top for your summer!
And... for blog readers only there is a 25% discount on the purchase of the pattern using "LoveFrida" coupon code. Discount valid until May 30 at midnight (Rome Time).
A while ago, my friend Hanna Maciejewska sent to me this lovely yarn. I fell in love with this after seeing her Colour of Kauai cardigan.
Zagroda Merino Ulubione is a superwash worsted weight yarn hand dyed in Poland by the very talented Marta.
The colours are simply gorgeous! The texture is soft and shiny and knit up so quickly!
I suggest to take a look at Zagroda website and see with your eyes how many beautiful colours!
So, finally I found the perfect project to do: my very first bottom up cardi !
Twig will be ready for testing very soon, and will be available for download just in time for your summer knitting!
