Navigator is the 4th sweater included in my sweater Club and it's one of my favourite cardigans ever!
The "Fair Isle" is one of my favourite techniques because it's pretty easy to do yet effective to wear. I said pretty easy because you have a stockinette/stocking stitch base and usually two colours to use at the same time.
Fair Isle it's fun to knit both flat and in the round.
Initially, I thought of "Navigator" as a traditional stranded colourwork only across the yoke. But I soon realized that it was too funny to stop working in those colours!
This was as well the first time that I loved to knit the sleeves!
I recently discovered the 9.5"/23cm Kinki Amibari (KA) asymmetric circular needles.
Absolutely, I LOVE them!
Working in the round the small circumferences has always been my problem: dpns or magic loop? Two circular needles together? I was never satisfied.
Now I finally can work the sleeves without problems and without affect the gauge.
If you're not happy with the other methods,I recommend trying these needles!
I almost forgot an important thing!
May is the Madelinetosh's month. You can find all info about KALs/events/sales on Madelinetosh Lovers Group on Ravelry.
I love Tosh yarns, although unfortunately here in Italy it is not easy to find all the bases or the colors that I would like...
To celebrate Madelinetosh May (MadMay) I offer a 25% discount of all my self published patterns during the entire month of April using "madmay" coupon code.
Psst... the coupon is valid also for the eBooks, including The Ultimate Modish Sweater Club.
What to say? Happy knitting!
I was lucky enough to work with Valentina Consalvi from SnailYarn again.
We have cooperated to create a brand new kit (yarn + sweater pattern) that will be available at Edinburgh Yarn Festival 2016 (18th-19th March).
For Swift pullover we have chosen to use BFL DK, a very soft and round yarn base in a bright, stunning new colour: Punch!
Isn't it perfect for your springtime?
For those who can't go in person to Edinburgh, but will be there in spirit (like me!), Swift is already available as Ravelry download with a special 25% discount valid until Thursday 17th March at midnight (Rome time). No coupon code needed!
I hope you enjoy!

Summer is my favorite time to knit: more free time and the opportunity to do small, delicious, masterpieces with the finest and softest fingering yarns.
This summer, I was lucky enough to use this amazing cashmere blend yarn. I am grateful to The Plucky Knitter for the opportunity of this collaboration and for the discovery of Bello!
Bello have a very high percentage of cashmere (45%!!) and a smooth texture, that knit up heavenly with large needles and loose gauge.
To celebrate this amazing yarn I wanted to do something very feminine and romantic: soft lines and airy fabric to be worn on the beach over a bikini or in the summer nights over a dress or the favorite pair of jeans.
Antoinette is a cropped, seamless little cardigan mostly worked flat from the top down, with a very loose gauge. The design features peplum shaping, short raglan sleeves and an easy and fun twisted cable motif (without cable needle) for the yoke. The edges are worked simultaneously in broken rib and button and button hole bands are picked up and bound off with i-cords.
And I'm very glad to announce that Antoinette is chosen for the summer sweater KAL hosted in my Ravelry Group. Join the fun to the Knit-A-Long!
Antoinette is 50% discounted until Sunday at midnight (Rome Time) using "ANTOKAL" coupon code!
The KAL will run from July 1st to September 1st, 2015. All info here.
Everyone can participate at anytime and win lots of free patterns! See you there!
Oh, I love KALs so much!
I started with Dirty Martini and I just can't stop!!
Well, a new season is coming and we need a new featherweight sweater to wear. Isn't true?!
So, if the sweater is worked in Holst Garn Supersoft and it weighs less then 200 grams...
Can you resist? Me, not...
Soft Stones is 50% discounted until Sunday, April 26 at midnight (Rome Time) as pre-order.
The full pattern will be ready for download on April 27, 2015.
Join the fun to the Soft Stones Knit-A-Long! The KAL will run from May 1st to July 1st, 2015. All info in my Ravelry Group here.
